A couple of 9" questions
First I'm going into the flame bunker.
Second, are there any 9"ff? Third, can you install a set of reverse cut gears and just flip the third member instead of flipping the whole axle?

The third part, That's why you put in reverse cut gears?
By doing a high pinion 9" there will be oiling problems too but there are ways around that.

Reverse cut gears do not change the rotation, they are simply cut differant because the pinion is above the centerline instead of below it. If you flip the third it puts the pinion on the other side of the ring gear instead of on the same side but higher. If you put the pinion on the other side it will drive the axle in the wrong direction, at least for normal purposes. A high-nine third and gears will put the pinion on the correct side for proper rotation but will cost $$$. This has been covered many times, search should get you more info than I feel like typing.
