90 F350 and 84 F250 460 question
ok forgive im a Ford newb, been workin on chebbys for 15 years.
so i have a 90 f350 with a FI 460 that is shot. found an 84 F250 with a carb 460 in it that is almost brand new motor. what all would i have to change to put the 84 carb 460 in my 90 and be able to put my FI on it? Thanks i already know i need to change all the accessories over to the 84 460 and the manifold but im not sure about if the manifold and old head will match up or what not. |

The block is the same, the carbed engine will work quite effectively as a short block for you. I'm doing the opposite for my truck... You will lose a bit of compresion, as the carbed motor does have a bigger piston dish, but, I doubt the computer will care.
