F250 leveling questions!
***I'm not a usual member here, but I know that someone here's got the answer to my question
I'm not really doin the whole wheelin thing any more, at least not in 1:1***I found a good deal on a 1989 F250 a while back, and bought it for my brother. It's got the 351 in it, with an auto trans. The only real downfall is that it's a 2wd, which doesn't bother either of us. We're looking to simply level the front end. We've agreed on a 2" kit, though we can't find a kit specific to an 89 2wd F250. We've found plenty of kits for 80-96 F150's (2wd of course). Will the said F150 kit work on our truck? I'm guessing that it would, but I really don't know much about it. The kit we found consists of 2 spacers, and 2 3/4" stud extensions... I know there may be better ways to get this thing sittin level, but we're on a tight budget, and would love to keep it less than 75 bucks. Any work that needs to be done is not a problem, we just don't wanna order something that wont work... Thanks in advance -Greg |

2 years later and I still have the truck. I would still LOVE to level this thing... I hate to "bump" an old thread (I know it's annoying), but it's still a very serious (and relevant) question (to me)
Someone PLEASE help ![]() Cost is no issue anymore (within reason) Last edited by grob23; 03-13-2012 at 04:59 PM. |

remove spring/shock towers and relocate according to how much taller you want it to be. cost $0 ...now the alignment will be fubared and you'll have to bend the beams and radius arms, or fab drop brackets to adjust. add too much and you'll need longer radius arms.
get the credit card out and call Fabtech.. or any other desert vendor..check out the prerunner sites drop brackets from a 4x4 lift should work if they have the right drop. springs from a F-150 lift should fit, but no telling how much they'll lift you truck. smart ass remarks removed.. even though I should have left 'em
