no such thing, the exhaust from the turbo to the dpf or cat if it was equipped stock must be retained, cat back exhaust is o.k., also, cold air intakes on diesels are going to pass, no carb number needed, it is not considered a emmissions device...
My 00 did not have a cat or a catalyzed muffler, however, I know Cali spec stuff is goofy, and Ford did go back and forth with having and not having cats on them.
I'd venture to guess that they do not have anything fancy other than a standard muffler however, as I don't see a seperate Cali spec listing for a muffler.
Locally (Ontario Canada) the book says that some Ford 7.3L had cats and some didn't but there is no way to tell what the factory installed so you can pass the visual with or without a cat. And no 7.3Ls had catalyzed mufflers
I found an 02 7.3 truck I liked. Just don't have the knowledge w/ fords to see if the owner was BSing.
So if it has a complete new exhaust... and never had a cat, should that matter at all?
