im planning on swappin in a 351W into my toy but before i do so i at least need to re-ring it, this being said anyone have advice on doing so? any specific kits i should look into? i dont have the money for a full on rebuild and i know ill be doing allmost the same work but its worth it, and i just need it to last long enough for me to save up enough money for a full on rebuild... also my motor is about to blow so would like to have this ready for when it does...:flipoff2: thanks
My advise is to pull it apart and check what size everything is. Look at every piston, bearing (rod and main) look at the numbers and check to make sure they match or if they are undersized, oversized or standard. Then go on ebay and look for parts. Make sure you mark the rods so you put the piston back in the correct cylinder. Some cheap reman companies will resize only one journal or one cylinder to rebuild them so this is what you want to look out for.
