I've read lots of threads on 'can I do it?' but not many with more info...that is

what tow setup were you using?

what bumpers/bumper setup were you using?

what did you or did you not like about the way you were doing it?

thanks

1- 4door V8 Explorer

2- standard reciever hitch on X, home-made bumper on EB, home-made towbar, disco rear driveshaft

3- I liked the fact that i could tow my junk to the trail even though i couldnt afford a trailer. I did not like the fact that when flat towing there are certain things that you break on the wheeler that will keep you from getting it home.

For the EB- air all tires up to 30psi if they are 15's, unhook rear Dshaft, front end alignment is CRITICAL... do not even attempt with worn TRE's, balljoints, etc, tarp strap (bungee cord) from floor to bottom of steering wheel to help with return to center, dont park were you need to back up. :)
