I have a dana 44 FORD front that is open knuckle with disc brakes. It has leaf sping perches, one on axle tub and one cast into the chunk. I am trying to figure what it came out of..I thought all Ford F-150s and full size BRonco's were coil spring front..I am not a FORD guy..ANyone with any ideas? Thanks
The extended cab F150s had leaf sprung d44s like you describe, I think they were 5 lug still. The regular cab F150s and broncos were coil sprung like you're thinking of. Most F250s had HD D44 leaf spring suspensions but they were 8 lug, a few F250s with the snow-fighter package had D60s and the F350s had Dana 60s.
A friend had one of these, said that it was really wide, and shafts were had to find. My .02
