Cummins swap, New ZF5, Southbend DD clutch issues

Hey guys, almost done with my 12v cummins swap and were having some big issues with the clutch and trans.

The new zf5 is filled with fluid and appears to be in neutral(thats what it was in when we put it in)

We bled the clutch components pretty good, and can see the pressure plate disengaging the clutches.

The problem is with the shifter, we cannot get it to shift when the trucks is off(havent started it with the trans on).

It feels like its in 3rd gear, but the output shaft says otherwise.

Any ideas on what the issue is? Shifter not in correctly? Clutch not dissengaging enough even with the truck off?

I would say pull the shift tower and make sure the end of the gear stick is in its hole. You can use a prybar to switch gears with the shift tower out of the truck also. But if you need to pull the tower and start the truck, do it with the pedal pushed down, and the driveshaft out.
