Ive got a 86 Bronco II with the 2.9L v6, every time I start it up it dies right away and then starts on the second time. After it starts for the second time it runs really rough for a few minutes and then once warm its fine, any ideas on what this could be? Ive heard it could be an "air control idle sensor"
Try cleaning it first before you buy a new one. Take it off and spray the crap out of it with carb cleaner. There is a spring in there that sometimes gets stuck because so much gunk builds up. If you can get all the gunk out often times they will start functioning correctly again.
Edit: Just realized that after 2 years of lurking I finally popped my posting cherry
o reilly's , autozone , napa , all have them . i would get a new one have not had good luck trying to clean them . the solenoid is what gets weak . on them
