I have a 97 f150 . I had some wiring problems and it sat for about a year. I fixed it today and now it has a terrible knock that it didnt before. Can someone tell me why?
While it was sitting for a year someone probably put a handfull of bb's in the oil filler neck. Make sure you pull the oil pan, valve covers, etc. Then pull the engine. Cut the wiring harness off at the firewall, it's easier to splice the wires back together than plug in all the connectors when you put the engine back in.
