hey guy's new to the forum, wanted to say hey. anyway got a ?. i'm trying to swap an E4OD out for a military tranny and transfer case. wanting to build a big truck. got a 90 model F250 7.3 diesel. was going to swap axles and all. 2 1/2 ton reo's and wanted a tranny to pull it. any ideas?
c6 or zf5... Those would be my first choices. If money isn't an option, then look for an Eaton/Fuller tranny from an expedition. I don't know about adaptability to a 7.3 though...
your opption for bolt in: zf5 from a diesel. or anythign offered behind the 7.3 in an international MDT. although anything MDT is gunnna require a divorced transfercase.
edit: or you could swap your E4OD for an E4OD without overdrive (c6).
