I got my front tires eyeball aligned right now and I'm about to get new tires. So I was wondering what the center to center is on the tre's from the right knuckle to the left knuckle. Searched and found nothing. Thanks
the best way to align that at home is set your truck on jackstands, pull the wheels off, run a couple lug nuts down on each brake rotor to make sure they are flush, get a measuring tape, and measure the distance between them front and rear. You should have around 1/16-1/8" toe in, depending on tire size. so if the front is say, 70", the rear should be 70 1/16" or 70 1/8". To be accurate, just get a straight edge, and mark the brake rotor with a sharpie off of one of the vents inside the rotor, or one of the wheel studs. Now, you can do this with the tires on, but its less accurate.
I run between 1/8th and 3/16ths tow in, on my trucks. Seems to track a little bit better. 'sides, that's what the wifes Honda is set too, from the dealer.
