I went down with the brothers to have a sisters back. Great time. The family we have in the fire department is unlike anything else i have ever experienced. Just lucky I chose the right profession. Bunch of us loaded campers and headed south to Black Rapids about 30 miles past Delta Junction. They have a lodge there in the middle of nowhere. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! That place could be the next Denali if investors would come in and spend some money. The owners are awesome and have a cute daughter.....Great trails and camping. Couple of the boys brought fourwheelers and ran some cool rock trails and said is would be fun with a truck. I knew I would be intoxicated most of the time so I left the toys at home. Take that how you want but I am getting better at judgment in my older age. LOL!!! On to the pictures.
On to the new ride pictures......Pimps have to have a ride....
I want to put a bikini top on this thing who has the best deal on the nicest bikini? A pimp must have a pimp ride! Just happens in alaska that ride is an old ass Bronco!
REgarding the bikini top, there are two distinct styles. First is the STC style that has been manufactured under several different names. It utilizes a windshield wiper drop down bracket to keep the wiper motor from hitting the bikini top. The second style is the Bestop style. It utilizes a huge riser to essentially raise the top of the windshield so that the wiper motor does not hit the bikini top.
I like the look of the STC style better but if you were going to run a cover over the wiper motor it might cause problems, I don't know.
The Bestop style would temporarily cut down your overhead clearance.
Don't tell the guys in the Dodge section but I would have probably built this thing with rocks and a 427 if I didn't do the dodge first. LOL! Driving around in this thing its like i joined a club or something. Every person that has ever owned a Ford EB comes up and just starts telling me stories about the one they owned. I owned a Jeep TJ once (never again) and that thing felt like a clunky cobbled together piece of crap, this thing is tight and drives great and its 25yrs older! I'm sold! And the chicks dig it!!!
Shut up before you earn a kick to the nuts. :flipoff2:
You leave the body lift on it so you can more easily clear the 351 you will eventually put in this thing. Then you build custom bumpers to match the lift. It's preferred to have a little body lift on EBs.
Dusty...Glad fer' ya'...finally got some tires on the Mopar & figured out FOMOCO is the shiznit. Nice EB. Did ya' ever get the supercharger installed/tuned?
I have played with it. Seems to be running like a champ. This Bronco is the SHIZ!! Go to my build thread. Just posted my latest adventure here in Alaska. This was a good one. I am ready to buy a super cub next and get some flying lessons. Heres a teaser....
Hey man I was just about to ask if you in your Dodge thread if you have any pictures of the progress of that flatbed. It's so awesome and makes me want to just not fix the rust on my bed and do a flatbed.
Nice EB also, I love the color.
