I'm going to be picking up an '85 Ford F350 crew cab 4x4 from my in-laws for $600. I know the front is a 60, but does anybody know if it's a high pinion?
Also, with a 460 and a C6, it has an NP205 'case, right?
No gurantees on an 85 having a 60 front, it may be TTB. If it's an 85.5+ yes, but 85 doesn't make it in stone that it has it. As for wether or not it's high pinion, I'm not even going to answer that.
With a 460/C6, it should be a BW 1345 t-case, possibly a 208, but should be the 1345, no 205 past 79.
As for the rear axle, could be a D70 or a 10.25.
I've seen the truck, it definately has a solid 60 front, and from what I've researched, it should be high pinion.
If it does have a BW 1345, which it probably does, is it a decent transfercase? Are they strong and durable?
As far as the rear, my research tells me it's a 10.25, but I guess I won't know until I look at the truck again.
Now I have to decide what to do with the truck.....
