92-97 F-series cut out flares
I was wondering if anyone have any pictures of these OBS trucks with bushwacker cut out flares? I need to fit larger tires and dont want to go any higher. Just wondering how they look and how much larger it will make the wheel well. thanks

No pictures, but to get an idea, tape a string to your lockout that is about 4' long, and then measure up from the lip of the wheel well 3,4,5 etc inches, and use the string to draw that radius. That will give you an idea. IIRC, alot of flares will tell you how many inches you are going to cut out, and how far they stick out.

I had the 87-91 Cut-outs on my 94, and
they gave me a ton of room! I had to fab up some new inner fenders as the old ones simply wouldn't work. Let me try and dig up a picture.Edit: pics. 94 F350, R/S Kit, 6" springs, 3" Body (Now removed), 31's, 2004 D60 & 10.5.Edit again: She is 18+ ![]() Before the 38x15.50's... ![]()

Nope, MD as in my side status. I'm guessing you are referring to the small tires on it at the time of the pictures. This was the day before mounting up my 38" PJ's.

Thanks for the pics!
Here is what I was thinking: With cut out flares and a 5" Sky shackle flip setup what could my 94' F-350 clear tire wise? I dont want to go any higher than 5", that was my idea to use the cut out flares. Could I fit 42's or 44's? Just trying to get an idea how much they actually cut out, thanks! |

Easily dude, easily. Consider this. 35's will clear on a stock F-350, then figure you're going up 5" so that means you will be able to clear 40's, then you trim up 5" and you are talking about clearing and stuffing 42s easily. Bear in mind that your rear inner fenders(not the bumps in the bed, the actual inner fender) will have to be removed, and in the front, your plastic inner fenders will need some work too. I would say just remove them and relocate or build brackets for the stuff that is mounted to them.

anything bigger than 38's is completely dependant on tire width and wheel backspacing. also where your bump stops are.
![]() 7" over bronco height, 2.5 backspacing on 8" wide h1's with 38x15 boggers. the tire is 3 inches into the fender. if i had more backspacing it would have fit. as is no way. also the cutouts only remove stuff from the front and back edges of the fender. so they wouldn't have helped me there at all.

Here is 38.5 boggers on a 1997 f350 sw with no lift. Now I will say I could not drive it cause any little bump and it would hit the back of the fender. Same with turning. I would think with some cutouts they would fit pretty good with no lift.

"Can I put those tires on my stock 2011 tundra with no mods? It is built to the hilt right from the factory!"
I had my tires off of my rig and I was just curious if they would even fit. Nevey planned on running them, but it would look pretty cool with all four and a couple inches of lift. I think your tundra could run 47 ltbs.

Finally, some good information. Now whether to run 37's or 38s or bigger with cutouts? I'm keeping the stock 16.5 wheels and re-gearing so now it's time to really sit down and decide.
