i bought a new crate 80 from a sealership(they ordered the wrong one and gave me a deal

). my question is what limited slip is in it? i know they put posi-trac and trac-locks in some but i was told this one had some new locker(the name started with a v). trying to figure out what it is and what it is worth, hopefully enough to pay for a spool

trac loc look like open diffs.

that looks like a tru trac. 3 pairs of bolts holding the end plate/case together.

sorry i was thinking superduty 10.5 with the trac lock, they bolt togeter - and he said new factory ford, i dont think the true trac was an option.

but it does look like it

so my question is who buys an axle with no knowledge of what is in it? not being a dick, but i bet it wasn't a "steal" from a dealer.

no axle comes with a spool in it. it had the ring and pinion that i wanted and was half of any other axle i have found on line or in person.

found it, it is a torsen locker
it is ford's new limited slip based off an old design that uses screw design instead of clutches

Same thing that's in my Dodge. Most new vehicles not are going to the wormscrew style LS units now, as they 'never' wear out like clutch packs...
