Yeah I know its not hardcore but National Part's Depot and LMC Truck are both worthless for any type of information, unless you got a part number and are ordering something, neither company has a tech line...
I got a 84 F350 and I want to put an 89 tailgate on it cause the 84 tailgate is missing...The 84 model dosen't use striker's like the 89 tailgate, they have a hoop that bolts to the body...Can I take a 84 model hoop latch from a stock tailgate or order one and bolt it in place of the newer striker latch style on each end of the 89 tailgate???
84 tailgate has these hoops stock instead of strikers...
Can the striker style latches show below be swapped for the hoop style latches???
