Question Explorer bucks FR to LR

I am at my wits end!! Have a 98 eplorer AWD V8 which is in good condition despite 250,000 miles. New shocks, sway bar links, tires and ball joints but when it hits a diagonal bump at an angle it violently rocks or bucks diagonally!
Bumps perpendicular to the direction of travel are okay. Please send me your suggestions? Bigger rear sway bar? Bigger front bar? No suggestion too wierd for me to consider, except buying a new vehilce, kid in college. Mikey55

My wifes 01 has been doing this ever since I installed new ball joints. Got em off of fee bay a year ago and they are starting to get play in em already. I'm gonna throw some O.E. ball joints in it in a couple of weeks and see if it goes away. Despite the alignment being perfect, I noticed it they very day I put the cheap fawkers in there.

Check your body mounting bolts. I use to have a truck that acted like what I think your describing. Some how after some off road driving on a all stock vehicle they came lose and tore and bent the holes within about 1200 miles and throwing parts at it.

sounds like your truck still has sway bars. take em out and i bet it gets better.

my bronco used to do that. it would throw you around terribly when driving into a gas station. then i put softer front springs in and took out the sway bars and it doesn't do it anymore.

edit: that info applies to the truck before i put the one tons and 38's on it.
