powerstroke turbo worth
Not much of a tech question, but I figure this is the best place for an answer.
I picked up a used powerstroke turbo (pretty sure it's a 94-97 but I could be wrong) with the pedestal and up pipes still attached to it a few weeks ago for cheep, but decided I don't need it. It definitely has worn out bearings and needs a rebuild, which I am not opposed to doing IF I will get a better return and sell it more easily. So, how much is it worth if I throw it on fleabay as is, and how much would it be worth if I took the time to bead blast everything, pretty it up, and rebuild it? The kits are only around $55 dollars on ebay but I haven't looked hard to find them cheaper. I'm just worried that people won't want it unless a shop rebuilds it, but rebuilding a T3 is a cakewalk and I'm not paying someone for it.
