torque mount on 205
how did you do the torque mount on the drivers side of the 205? Did you make new engine mounts? Put a 351w c6 np205 in my 70 and the tcase torque mount landed below the top of the frame and is almost tight against.

Decided after my trip to GOLD MT TN that the front 3link was not strong enough & decided to go with a 4link.
the only way I could get it to work was to move the front axle up another 9" & shorten the links. (118" wb) ![]() That meant new stronger frame mounts; ![]() ![]() Beefier axle mounts; ![]()

Four links;
![]() Test flex; ![]() After test flexin it was apparent that the tube fenders needed to be moved up 2'' & the front bumper & grill needed some trimming. ![]() I was able to save the factory headlights. However the bezels will require some trimming.

Turned out nice & it still needs a test ride, but I probably wont be able to go wheeling until the fall. Way too much to do on my sons '70 FJ40.

Thanks,
still have to make a front drive shaft & extend my front ARB air line. Also ditched my RAMSEY 8000 industrial winch because the worm drive gearbox hung down too low & the steering ram could smack the bottom of it @ full compression. So I will probably get a RAMSEY 8500 & have to fab a new mount for it in the front.

Decided with the axle way forward of the oil pan I could get a little more oil capacity. So I modified the oil pan
![]() ![]() ![]() Installed. ![]() ![]() I'm at 7.5 qts & still not on the dipstick. Ran out of AMSOIL & need to order more before I find out just how much it will hold. I'm guessing 12-14 qts
