Meadow Lake, power boats? jet skis?

i was curious about boating and jetskis on meadow lake, I called Sierraville ranger district, and they said its private, so they have no say.
I have seen small motorized fishing boats on it, but this weekend I saw someone hauling a ski boat back there.

just curious are ski type boats and jet skis allowed on that lake?

who owns that lake, the power company? which one?

PG&E owns Meadow Lake. I don't know of any restrictions on boat size. I thought there was a statewide law against 2 cycle motors on lakes.

according to this site you are not allowed to have motorized boats, and i would assume this would be correct, i highly doubt they would allow a jet ski

good info, its wierd, because is says to contact sierraville ranger district for info, and she said you could have motorized boats, but was uncertain about PWC, she also siad its not their property. how stange the USFS getting info wrong.

I have definetly seen small motorized fishing boats on it, but when i saw a master craft being pulled up from the Jackson side, near catfish lake, (great road to tow a ski boat up) he said he was going to meadow and had done it before.

thats a pretty rough road and very steep to tow anything up from the Jackson side.

no ban on direct injection modern two strokes, you can even still run them in Tahoe, which was the 1st to ban older jet skis.

I have nothing to add, except that many lakes have 5-10mph (or knots I guess) speed limits to try & limit it primarily to fishing boats.
