Fordyce 11/09/08 report

We went to Fordyce yesterday. We ran the whole trail. We only found small amounts of garbage (we picked it up) and the trail was in good shape. There was very little snow (almost none) until you hit the road out to Meadow (after WH5). There was a ton of water on the trail, the most I've seen. Still, the mud holes looked pretty good. The water crossings were deep but doable with 37s. Winch hill #1 was tough this time. You really had to get creative to clear some of the diff hangers, and the ground was pretty wet so the traction wasn't the best. We only saw a few other rigs, a group of Toyotas at the top of Sunrise and a couple of really nice Jeeps at WH3. Fantastic day of wheeling, no breakage, and nice weather.
