Fire restrictions
So fire restrictions are still in effect. Does anyone know the rules regarding if it is snowing on you or raining ? is it allowed during restrictions as a warming fire ? or are you out of luck snow or no ?

As far as I know restrictions are restrictions but the FS acted pretty quickly last year to lift the restrictions when it started raining. Hopefully that will be the case this year as well.

You are out of luck. We got a ticket a year ago in a driving rainstorm with the fire in a metal ring at a paved campground.
I have been told that you are allowed to have a fire for survival, but I have not found the CFR that states such a thing. |
