Whatever the vehicle came stock with you must run. Only one shock (no more than 14" of travel.) 3" stretch max. No air bumps.

Yes, you can change the link material. So long as you are in the same OEM type suspension. If it came with leaf springs then you must use leafs. The LJ is coil springs and links. Mounting and link material is up to you.

I'm gettin excited, cause I'm about to be workin on some awesome. Got the drivers seat in on it's new slider. Now it's starting to feel like a real race car. I can actually sit in it and make vroom vroom noises. My side even has the belts mounted so I can feel very safe while making vroom vroom noises

That seat slider is badass!!
I'm running the same cell. Do you have any plans for a remote filler neck? Or are you guys just going to use the set you have now?

Gerald and I were talking about the filler neck and we're gonna have to do something. The screw on cap is slow, and you cant exactly put a dump can on the pipe sticking up. We'll probably just put a 45* neck with a quick fill fitting on there for KOH, but may need to add a side fill with a hose if we decide to carry a spare at longer races.
Here's a teaser of what I'm workin on next

Started playin around with the dash today. I've always drawn all my parts in AutoCAD, but recently started learning Solidworks because of all the parts I like to build with bends. This is the first multi piece sheetmetal part I've designed and built all with solidworks and it came out exactly like it was supposed to.
There's a total of 6 pieces in the GPS pod. 3 of them are welded together. The faceplate with the GPS and Intercom cut outs is a separate bolt on piece so that we can easily modify or replace it if we decide to change something. There's also an access panel on the bottom.

I've never really liked the typical handlebars out in front. It tends to wear on your arms over time. I'm planning on 2 little stubby handles on either side close enough for my elbows to rest on the seat. The handle next to the GPS is just to have something to steady your hand while pushing buttons.

Happy Black Friday everyone! Had to do a little reorganizing in the shop and got the chance to pull the jeep outside for some good overall pictures.

Any chance you can post some measurements of it sitting there to get an idea of how low it's sitting?

I'm not a jeep guy so forgive me but, is that where the steering box goes? Sure hangs out there a lot. I'm sure there is a skid plate and guard for it.
Looking like a real racer

Yep, that is the stock steering box location and it is very vulnerable. I punctured one of the cap on a PSC box before. Leaked fluid all all day. The SB skids are made by everyone and are needed!
