Trail Gear Nine Inch housing?

I searched and couldn't find much on the Trail Gear Nine Inch housing. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about them?

Spidertrax or Currie housings are the best fabbed housings around. Machined face puts much less stress on the third.

This I seriously doubt. I would say the Ruffstuff is stronger and the spidertrax pro series as well.

I *think* that everyone mills the face. It's like a 3 minute operation. I would be really surprised if Trail Gear does not.

I have seen ruff stuff housings that did not have a milled/flycut face.

I talked to the guy there that builds them today at about 1pm on this very subject. I doubt my info is out of date.

I know RS used to not mill the faces. However, I noticed at KOH that the 9" housing on display was milled. Maybe RS is milling all of them now?

According to them, yes. Mine is milled and I did not ask for it. Like I said, it takes minutes. I doubt anybody would not do it today. Years past I don't know.

Odd, mind showed up warped as shit. Dan came, picked it up and milled it flat but that did nothing to help all of the holes that were machined warped. With only three studs in the housing the third was nowhere near dropping on with one being half way out of the hole. I won't get into the welds. I have zero complaints about my tg housings. They were in stock, flat, true, the thirds dropped on and had nice consistent welds.

Do you have pictures of the bad welds?
