I have found a 1976 Ford Dana 60 closed knuckle and wondered wht it is worth? Can these be changed to open knuckle? TIA

IMHO worth VERY little to a wheeler (better to have a D44) and not at all economical / worthwhile to convert.

Take some pics and post them, or e-mail me the pics.

It has a larger u-joint than the common Dana 44 5-297x (760). But if you break a shaft it's hard to find a replacement unless you get aftermarket.

Changing to open knuckle, depends on the tube diameter. Plus Inner knuckles and out cost a lot.

$600 is considered a good deal for inner knuckles out. You'd be better off making a hybrid
