cheap diff guard?

I'm looking for an effective, yet in expensive differential guard for my dana 44 and dana 60. Those 150 buck WMS covers are just too much dough for me right now.
thanks
bob

Bingo!

Then put a piece of 1" x 1/4" flat strap centered up on the 2" and weld, gives you a nice ramp to the bottom or the carrier, or at least the cover too.

Here is a Rock-Slide Engineering Diff Guard for the Dana 60. It is available in red, black, and silver. It is laser cut and uses tapered allen head bolts on the bottom and button heads on the top. The tapered bolts at the bottom are so if the bolt comes in contact with the rocks you can still get the allen wrench in the hole to remove them. They are $79.99 at Mt. Logan Off-Road

Rock-slide, You need to read the rules for the board. You are not allowed to pimp your stuff unless you pay up for a vendor star. Welcome newb

diff guard

I did something similar to pic #3 and #5 in rednecks' post. I got another 44 cover and cut off the areas I didn't need. Piece is already to form and welds right on. Only thing is it's not quite as thick.

Actually, he is more than welcome to "pimp his stuff" ANY TIME someone ASKS FIRST.

If someone posts up on here asking where he can find a product, ANY vendor is more than welcome to reply and tell him what they have to offer. To not be able to do so would be absurd, and all of us would lose out.

And I say this as a "moderator", so yes - this is an official rule of the site

you can also usually find a steel pipe cap at a industrial supplier that will easily replace the cover and be quite strong.

I made mine. You can see them on my website. They do not reduce ground clearance.
