just got my michelin's today!! (lots of pics)

wow these suckas are big.... i'll keep everyone posted as the project continues:
BTW specs if you're interested:
cj-5/tube hybrid.
16" fox shox coilovers in the rear
rockwell 2.5 ton's
20x10" double beadlocks w/ 53 michelins
454 w/ turbo 350 & np205
yay!!

well it took us florida boys about 45 mins to get it in and centered. We lubed up the tire pretty well. Then we ran a strap around it and squashed the insert into a pancake, got a prybar and got it into one side, it was all down hill from there. Have a long bar, a big hammer and some wd-40 or something ready.

those are not the same runflat that comes in the 48s,are they?

The wheels are pretty damn heavy... I think they are about 95lbs each (including the inserts) I have no doubt that the 49 IROCs would work well on there. I wish Interco made a 44x18x20 bogger..

95 lbs with insert huh? I take it you didn't get the heavy duty rims.
I am about to order from John and he said the heavy duty ones weigh about 120 lbs with insert.
Btw, I just got my 53"s on saturday. And will be ordering my rims within the next week.
That insert looks nice and THICK. It should do an excellent job holding the bead.
