15 inch 8 lug rim refrence post

using the search with a shitload of diffrent words i cant find a whole lot of makers of steel 8 lug 15 inch rims. just a repeat of the white steel wagon wheel(US wheel p/n usw-70-5880 4 inch backspacing 15 inch 8 lug wheel) and a few "search newbie"

I would like to start a list of makers of 15 inch 8 lug rims in both steel and aluminum, beadlocked and not (even tho i am looking for non-beadlocked)

I know there are a bunch of people are running them and bucking the trend of the Dubs and spinners

so where did you get them, stock # if available, website link, and price.

Ah, I fart smeller, er smart feller. I thought you were looking for those wheels. Don't mind me, I'll just go back to sniffing glue. Look in Summits shit, they have alot of rims in there. I was looking for a set also, and wanted something other than that white wagon wheel. I don't think they make an 8 lug 15". Would have to do ALOT of grinding to get those to clear.

well, if you run shitty factory drum brakes the 15's fit just fine.. My dad bought a set of them to put gumbo mudders on a 75' highboy, back around 79-80 or so, when the only size made was a 35x14.5 15.

I don't recall how much I paid. They're black. I think they're probably called modulars or something. I have beadlocks on mine and although they're listed as 15x14 the measure closer to 15x15 or so. You can purchase them with beadlocks, simulocks or plain from 15x8-15x14 I beleieve. Available in black, white or chrome. I got them from Rocky Mountain Off Road, but I bet you can buy almost any wheelin rag and find barts with or without beadlocks in there.

Mine originally came with 16 5/16 bolts, but I changed the fronts to 32 3/8 bolts and the rears to 16 3/8 bolts. I mounted 44" boggers on them and haven't had a problem breaking bolts since.

I had to spend an hour grinding the calipers on my chev 60 and I don't recall what the backspacing is.

here's an ultra big picture:

Chad.

You can get them from 4WPW. They are listed as Black Steel MODULAR wheels, not ROCKCRAWLER wheels. I have the part number for mine...

15"x10", 2.75" bs, 8 lug...Part # 87-5182

Cost me $350 for 5 of them shipped to my door.

Wheels of Steel

I bought mine from these guys, they were right at $200 shipped to my door with custom backspacing. They came raw, and arrived in less than a week from order date. They even drilled the valve stem hole inside next to the wheel center!

Check out the US Wheel and Wheel Vintiques steel wheels. I don't know if 15" 8-lug aluminum wheels even exist.

They have horrible beadlocks but make very nice and thick steel wheels. I think my 15x8 3.5bs wheels where $45 a piece and they had them in stock. Black wheel with holes.

Or use this thread and paint them whatever color you want, this one is only a couple of weeks old. When you order them make sure you tell them what bolt pattern you want

that rim is not offered in a 15 inch with an 8 lug pattern.
I called US wheel and summit to make sure when i started this thread because that was what i originaly wanted.

guess i will just have to rattle can some white wagon wheels

but keep any new info coming so others can find them easy

It works with any US Wheel, call Summit or US Wheel and have them get a part number together. Use the part number supplied, change it to what you want, and order it. For example any of the above wheels would work fine. And am I surprized they don't make a 8 lug in that pattern. But so be it, I guess...

I have steel 8 lug 15x10 Allied beadlocks. They are 32 bolt and are very nice quality. I think they come in the two common styles, modular (triangle holes) and daytona (round holes). Also I think you can get custom backspacing.

Sorry to have to correct you but, Modular is Round holes, Daytona is the D-window type and Spoke is the Triangle holes......

so you do axle building in the kitchen also?
(btw those are reverse center rims,i am trying to avoid those because i am going a deeper backspacing and they can be a bitch when adding beadlocks)

I am about to order wheels today, I am pretty sure, but I just wanted to be positive that a 15x10 8lug with 2-3" back spacing will fit over a completly stock d44 font, with discs, ( i think a 77') and similar year corporate 14 rear with drums. from all the measuring i've done it looks good, but since a custom wheel is not returnable i wanted to see if any of you guys have it on your rig?

thanks

shouldnt have any problems with that fitting. its when you have stock dana 60 brakes and try to fit is when you sometimes encounter problems
