ready welder/ CO2 ?
I just ordered my ready welder. I have used a friends and it kicked ass for trail repairs. I see it comes ready for gas. I carry a CO2 tank already. I have never been a big fan of flux core. Has anyone used the ready welder out on the trail with CO2? The only drawback I can think of is wind blowing the shielding gas away. I am an experienced welder, I was just wondering if anyone has used the CO2 with this welder in the field, and if they liked the welds they got using gas.

I've had my Readywelder II for about a year and a half and Its an AWESOME welder, Im very happy with it! I have tryed using the C02 with it and it didnt seem to really help. Mine was laying out some really nice welds without it. The only drawback with the welder is you have to set up two fully charged battery's
I wouldnt mind getting one of those energy packs they sell...
