best brand starting fluid?

So I picked up a new can of starting fluid for the trail tool box a while ago. when I tried to use it to seat a bead, it didn't work. I don't remember what brands I've used succesfully before, I figured they would all work? Anyway what brand do you use?

Worth Products--Contact Cleaner (or electrical board/brake cleaner)--It's made made by Worth. Works great! As you have found out some ethers don't blow or only burn your tire--some contact cleaners actually do not burn at all! Kind of like the clean burning charcoal starters they sell now a days!

thanks,

For what it's worth the one I have that DOES NOT WORK is uni-fide brand that was next to the cash register at the hardware store.

I'll pick up whichever of the above I see at the auto parts store in a few mins.

I think it looses potency with time. Old cans never work as good as a new fresh one.

be careful when seating it. With too much potency you can shoot out the valve stem. (I cant remember if they took the valve core out or not)

Maybe you just used too much, if you go above the UEL (upper explosive limit) its too rich, I have found it takes a very small amount of any of that shit, carb cleaner, starting fluid, propane, mapp, etc.

...But far less fun..

If it just burns you might need to let it evaporate a little more befor lighting it.

Some brands evaporate slower than others but I just use wal-mart (super tech or something) junk. Works good.
