A Tennessee buggy The Low Low

Getting close to finishing this new buggy seeing what the pirate family thought of it before I put the wraps on this thing... I need suggestions on a color to paint it (interior is powder coated candy blue) and if I should roll bend to protect the engine or just keep it tucked on down on the regular.

Not a ton of bling or smoothed over stuff here I already put more on it than the owner wanted. Just mainly stuff to make it low and go

If you care to know here are some specs
6.0' tall overall belly at 29" rolling on 49" Irocs
480 horse stroked Small block ford/ propane
2.5 tons with chromo's and aluminum hubs
4 Spd 205 not my pick here
4 wheel steer
and alot of other little shit
building it for hitting the slick muddy hills of the southeast and being able to get it in the rocks

Oh my camera sucks maybe I can buy a new one one day when I give up this expensive as hell hobby so..

It took me a lil while to figure out what was going on with the rear 'suspension'.

Sweet tube work though, I dig it. Should be a fun trail machine.

I got nothing really to add other than to say that thing looks cool. I love all the buggies coming out of TN lately. Its giving me inspiration to build a buggy.

Nice work!

6 foot tall on 49's is sick...love the lines too and the belly height and the ford SB on pane instead of a fawkin chebby crate motor or a 350...

what is the wheelbase??

For colour, i suggest silver for muted and orange/red for loud...

Yeah really...seems like a lot of them have this neat retro thing going. Real sleek chassis lines that sort of bring to mind a lot of the old rat rod stuff.

130" I hear you on the ford this one off the dyno at a real 480 horse dual mixers laid flat

we like silver here too but it may be overdone

Yep, that's one of the ones I had in mind.

I actually did a similar welded chain shifter on a car I helped build a while ago. Cool stuff.

The tube lines are sweet along with the 2.5 tons, 49''s, SB ford on pane. I would paint it candy blue like the color in the wheels. Nice work the owner should be happy. If not the HELL with him i'll take it

72" tall with a 29" belly? Minus 3.5" for tube(2x1.75"?), you have just under 40" to fit a man in there sitting down and have clearance for his head. I guess you must have that seat laid waaay back to fit in that cab. Nothing wrong with that though, comfy.
Is the tranny not recessed into the belly at all, and sits in between the seats like a console would?
How wide is the chassis?

Really nice work, care to post up some daylight pics?

Powdercoat the tube Candy Blue and skin a little of it in Metal Flake Grey, don't cover up too much tube though. That shit flows.
edit: Paint the rocks in the grey too.

That's a kick ass pinion brake cover. Where can I get one?

Seriously, awesome build. I hope to achieve something like this for my next build.

I'd vote silver, too.

How much steering will you be getting out of your axles? It does not look like the rear will do more than 20* or so without hitting the frame.

thats one sweet rig ya got there. if ya want the retro look, got with a flat color, in sure you can still get that outta powder coating... but it really depends on if the colors gonna stay the same on the rims. But I'd suggest flat black, theres my .02
