I was looking it up in Nevada DMV codes, and all it says is you must have a mirror that you can see 200 ft behind you in. But it doesn't say it has to be outside. I'm just wondering if I'm legal with the doors off.

CA law is 2 mirrors, one of which must be on the DRIVERS outside.
Used to say "Left side" - which was a PITA when I owned a RHD Austin-Healy in the 70's <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0">

It varies from state to state. Texas has safety inspections and as long as you have one good mirror you are good to go

Just last week I asked my first cousin, Mike, that question. I seems that in New Mexico you only need one mirror. And according to him flair coverage isn't a problem nor is having a windshield or not as long as you don't have a broken one and you don't need doors either.
Mike is the San Juan County Sheriff ... |

I asked CHP and they said for Cal. you must have two functional mirrors on must be the drivers side miiror and then its your option as to the other one. I also had that confirmed by Stanislaus Sheriff.

here in PA you only need one mirror that you can clearly see (unabstructed) 200 feet to the rear.
That means the windshield mirror is ok. so long as your equiptment in the back dont block your view.
