It's real, saw 5-7 of them in a group of 22 2002 jeeps, all being drivin by the top German Dealers, here is a pic as they beat the crap outa the 31 inch shod rigs:flipoff2:
We stopped at Rubicon springs to watch the helicopters flying dealers in. Talked with one of the owners of the springs and he said they were coming in from France !!!!
Makes you appreciate the Con even more to know that people are flying from France to travel a trail that is only an hour and a half from my house!!!!

Saw you as I was driving......The guy I talked to was a designer/enginerr, had a german/autrain accent, so I'm just guessing Germany looks like I am wrong

These ppl are being brought in by DC as a "reward" for being the
sales leader in thier area. I've seen numerous groups from all over
the world driving Jeep supplied vehicles.
Did they even make it all the way through? Did any of the them break or take a strap? Laugh all you want but if someone flew me to another country to drive a rig through the Rubicon that I didn't own I'd be loving it. Might be:rainbow: but I'm a little jealous.

Chrysler has been doing that forever, I ran into them on the con in '93. Its a reward for top sales figures for each region in Europe.
Those sales guys thrash the hell out of the rigs like i couldnt believe. In some of those 4-5 foot deep dirt whashes near loon they were full throttle and getting 4 wheel air jumping out of 'em, partially because that is what it takes to get a stock YJ out of there. funny to watch, I might even have some pics from back then. way way before digi cameras were thought of though.
It was pretty funny also when they told us they had 2 new jeeps parked at the head of the trail just for parts.
The helicopter for the gear and supplies is like cheating, all they carried with them in the jeeps was lunch and some bug repellant.
OH...Just GAGG me with a pitch fork ! :flipoff2: :barf: :clown:
