i know this is not fulley a tech "Q" or anything. but i had to share this among my fellow wheelers. my son TRISTAN was helping me with my rig last night.. he removed all the lugs himself from my toy. he was kinda scared of the noise.so i gave him ear muffs. i was so proud and he was very excited. after the sixth lug nut he ripped off the earmuffs and jumped in the air to give me a big hug. i almost cryed. it was so cool. so flame away if you wish. but i am proud of my boy!! . wanted to post pic, but it is not working. oh yea he just rurned 6 this year. http://allterrainers.com/cgi-bin/YaBB/YaBB.pl?board=testing&action=display&num=1027408266&start=0
looks like i got a link to work.
now is this a yota ritual or something ....hey man that is great i cant wait to have some rug rats of my own so i can have my tool bringers and gatorade fetchers too....
Now that is true general 4x4 material!!! when i have sons......(genetically engineered to not be girls) they are gonna grow up in the garage!! that is the only way to go!!
it is awesome to hear, glad to see that we do take the time to show our kids, so they get interested. he has driven my truck also, well in the rocks i was the pedals, he was steering. hehe
My two year old daughter's eyes light up when she sees my Yj in the garage. She carries a 1/4 ratchet around and "works" on it when I'm doing my projects. Pretty cool to see her interested in our Jeep!
My 15 year old daughter is learning to drive. Local 4x4 trails are a good place to learn the clutch, wheelspin, brakes etc. She insists on taking the doors off the toy and finding all the mudholes.
Like someone said, sieze the moment, because before you know it they are gone.
That's cool I'm trying to teach my 6 year old the different tools so he can get them for me. So far he's just interested in the girls on the trail more than the Jeep. We went to Runamuck in Truckee and there was a DJ he danced with some cure girls until I pulled him off the dancefloor for bed at 11:30. From one dad to another I love looking in the rearview mirror and seeing the boys back there when I'm on the rocks can't wait to see them drive.
