Where are you guys sourcing your braided brake lines?

There used to be a vendor on here selling custom brake lines, with any length/connection needed.

I have searched at length in the vendors section, and cannot locate the thread he (Keithflux?) posted in.

I need to order my lines soon, so I can get the brakes plumbed in on my project.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

I got mine from Techna-Fit, told them what I wanted for my 4 Runner, 30" long SS line with poly sheath, from hard line junction directly to front caliper. Less than a week later I had them and was a great price.

Uhhh...no.

AFAIK, all of the Wilwood stuff either uses inverted/double flare or pipe thread. Single flare is neither, and you need an adapter. If you're aware of that, then yes, -3 corresponds to 3/16 line, but as for actually screwing it into the MC, you'll need either pipe thread or inverted flare, depending on which master you have.

NAPA sells a fitting (used to be Weatherhead brand) that goes from 1/8" MALE NPT to 3/16 inverted flare.

A little red loctite on the threads goes along way to making sure it won't leak.
Just make sure the connection is dry (NO brake fluid) before assembly, and for a while after to let the loctite set.

Good information cropping up here...keep it coming.

I guess I'm just not a fan of pipe thread.

Personally, I would use one of these to go from the MC to the flex line: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/6462,13_AN-to-IFM-Adapter.html

Then use one of these flex lines: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/1992,13_Stainless-Steel-Braided-Line-Hose.html

Or these if you need a 90 at one end: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/1994,13_Stainless-Steel-Brake-Line-Hose-With-90-End.html

I used three Speedway lines on the last rig. No leaks. Planning on running some hard line on this one but still using the Speedway lines and fittings for everything.
