I got mine from Techna-Fit, told them what I wanted for my 4 Runner, 30" long SS line with poly sheath, from hard line junction directly to front caliper. Less than a week later I had them and was a great price.
Buy some bulk hose, buy some ends and make them yourself. They have any kind of fitting you'd need, straight, 45, 90, even have the caliper fittings. I too have never had a line fail. HOSE ENDS
Tried this when I was short on time. It was a no go. They told me the hydraulic hose was not compatible with brake fluid. Even though it’s a hydraulic system, the fluid makes it a different animal. FWIW that’s what they told me.
AFAIK, all of the Wilwood stuff either uses inverted/double flare or pipe thread. Single flare is neither, and you need an adapter. If you're aware of that, then yes, -3 corresponds to 3/16 line, but as for actually screwing it into the MC, you'll need either pipe thread or inverted flare, depending on which master you have.
mine is 3/16 inverted flare. so i need some kind of flex line with that on the end. i was planning on using a poly kit but they are all npt so i need an adapter to go from the master cylinder to the npt fittings
i found these XRP-705003 http://www.daymotorsports.com/product/1142/STEEL-GAUGE-ADAPTERS not sure if they will work
NAPA sells a fitting (used to be Weatherhead brand) that goes from 1/8" MALE NPT to 3/16 inverted flare.
A little red loctite on the threads goes along way to making sure it won't leak.
Just make sure the connection is dry (NO brake fluid) before assembly, and for a while after to let the loctite set.
Good information cropping up here...keep it coming.
I used three Speedway lines on the last rig. No leaks. Planning on running some hard line on this one but still using the Speedway lines and fittings for everything.
