Goodyear AT2A 53"

I am thinking my buggy will be ideal for the 53 Goodyear AT2A, 136" wb 5000 lbs dry. From what I have read the AT2A are a bit softer then the Michelns, I was looking at the 49 iroks but in all the vids of people running them they seem a bit like a big bouncy ball. The only posts on this tire are years old, anybody have any long term reviews on this tire?

I can't imagine anything with that much rubber can be under 160ish? I don't know though, I could be miles off.

1400R20 (48") on a steel wheel is about 330 lbs each
1600R20 (53") on a steel wheel is about 380 lbs each

I like these big cheap military surplus tires, except the sidewalls are thick because of the 10,000lb load rating, and the overall weight. They need to be ran at about 0-5psi on the trails, 25 psi on the road. IMO

Gensco Tire had both when I picked up my 53" XZL. The Goodyears felt softer but the width and sidewall stiffness didn't look as promising as the XZL. I really like the tread of the XZL over the GY.

I too love my 53" michelins, tires as big as you are talking about dont really need to be "soft", they fold and envelop everything on the trail anyway!!

less than 10 hours of use.

20oz bottle for size reference. passenger rear.

as you can see its about 99% demolished. it might have an hour of life left in it.

passenger front, starting to break apart. might last a 1/2 day.

driver rear, also ripping itself apart.

dunno the exact cause. i suspect old age, severe depression, hostile work environment, and lack of attention.

It sounds like your tires are just a little Emo. They cut themselves just so they can feel
