I agree but what it comes down to is the majority of big tires are going onto trucks like this
with the mindset of "man my tars is so damn big and my trucks so damn big it gon git me all da dang poon I want tell yew wut boy". I can only think of 3 dozen rigs, give or take, that would be interested in are are equipped to run a giant comp-only sticky 54, and they're all TTC style rigs. Compared to hundreds of rigs that could be running 38.5-43" stickies. There's no money there and most people wouldn't want to step outside of the relm of 1 tons for any kind of competitive wheeling anyway (aside from various once a year TTC or Highriders style comps). Not many want to use big heavy rockwells, planets, or 406 and up mogs for cone-dodging or KOH type stuff. And most people that run mostly mud would rather just get a V tread. I know plenty of big axle rig people would love to use a massive sticky for regular rec wheeling but again, not enough for any tire manufacturer to ever make a profit on. If the mall crawlers/show trucks can't drive them on the street and wave their dicks with them, than it's not going to sell enough to justify making. And what happens if Shannon wins on 42s?
Does that invalidate the big tire concept? And if it does invalidate the big tire concept, by default, does it also invalidate the Rocks/Mogs?

That thing is so hardcore...those lights under the bumper greatly improoved the approach angle. I am disappointed that there are only two shocks per wheel though.

Read that these might go on but he's still leaning towards the claws.
![]() What's the biggest tire in TTC been so far? A 57" or so R2 on that big crew cab back in 06? Last edited by lurchseesu; 02-11-2012 at 12:47 PM. |

I just spoke to John Cappa (Editor) and he said that their are 22 past competitors and champions that were signed up, so far, for the event. The one vote in will be a very lucky guy this year.
