Race bed's, flat bed's, custom truck bed's??

There has been a couple of thread's started on chase truck bed's and idea's for storage boxes and why and what you should haul. Post up anything cool you have seen in this area. Looking more at flat bed style with tube work, but anything cool you have seen at a show or on the trail will work, looking for some new idea's. You Cali guy's will be a big help, nothing cool out here in Kansas Looking at building a new bed on our 2006 Dodge Megacab for the 2010 season of rock racing.

In the process (on & off) of making a trick tire rack so the winch can be accessed without having to move the spare.

Here's a very basic tube bed based off a kit back before we had a tube bender.

In progress:

Finished, on the truck:

The bed was designed for a 36" spare to sit down in it, but the owner later decided to go up a few sizes and it ended up on top. Looks sort of odd.

Good timing on the thread, I'm going ot be building a deck for my Quadcab as soon as it comes back from the body shop and I plan on setting it up for chase duty and still want to be able to put a camper on it.

I was talking about this to a buddy about 2 weeks ago..I was looking to build an"over the cab" rack..something that attaches to the bed rather than roof of the cab...I'll have something drawn up in a day or so

I don't venture into the Desert section much, but that was an excellent suggestion!
