The little vibration heard is because the p/s pump still had air in it. Once it was bled, it's vibration free and quiet. Purrs like a stocker and doesn't stink.
I turned it over to get oil presure and them primed the fuel pump set at 55 lbs.
It started right up.

There is only one oil leak which is somewhere between the pan and block right in front of the flex plate. It seems to come out a fast drip only when the engine is running, which makes me believe it's pressure related. The pan has probably never been off the engine and the bolts are tight. Hard to believe it has a sealing problem. Hope it's not something stupid like a cracked block.

Hell yes. Congrats on startup that is a big moment. Motor sounds great at idle!

I'm sure the block is toast. Send it to me and I can dispose of it properly.

Could it be the bypass adapter leaking or crank case pressure buildup?

It doesn't appear to be coming from the bypass adapter, which is the only thing I tampered with on the engine.
It seems to be coming from where the pan and the block meet (or up above it, I can't see above it) right by the bolt with a recess which is by the oil filter.
Wish I knew how to use paint so I could draw an arrow.

It's possible the leak is fooling me as to where it's coming from and could be somehow connected to the bypass adapter. I guess I'll start there.

Just doesn't make sense that the pan gasket would be leaking only when the motor is running.

Oil feed and return from the filter go through the oil pan gasket. Mine leaked on first start up. Changed the oil pan gasket and all was good.

Also check where the flex plate bolts to the crank. Those bolts must be sealed. The threaded holes go straight through.

Hey JR, congratulations on getting your horn playing back. I don't think a non-musician can really understand what it's like to have that taken away and then get it back.

Oh, and pretty nice work on the car as well.

Maybe we work with some of the same people? We had INXS in The Pearl theater last month and their opener was another Australian band called Andy Clockwise, and they guy they wanted to mix their show is a studio cat from LA that works for Paramount. Anyway this guy had never mixed a live show, so I had to do some handholding. He did fine because we use the Avid live consoles and their real similar to the Pro Tools he's used to.

I would also vote that the rear main seal is the culprit based on your description. It may actually work itself out and seal after it gets some run time. It happened the last time i changed my rear main, it had a slight leak and i was pissed but a day or two later it worked itself out If the ls7 block is like the other ls engines the two rear pan bolts are nearly 7 inches apart and only torqued to 17 ft/lbs or less so you may want to check those and the bolts right at the corners too. Congrats on getting it started. Great milestone!
