Ok so she is done. Just finished her up last week and took her out to a local car show to show her off some. Here are the last pics of the build and some of the pics from the car show.

I fought for 7 hours getting these things mounted. The first couple I put together leaked from the seal. Had to tear them back down and go a different route.

Here was my solution. I took a bottle of Green Slime and filled the seal seat with a clean bead then laid the seal in the slime. Problem solved.

Finished product!

Finally the finished pics. Still working on getting an appointment with a good photographer for the good pics.

I was actually suprised of how few bugs she has. Only big one I have is some big body roll. Still have a lot of tuning to do with the suspention so i figure it will get worked out. My thoughts:

1. Currently running 7" of shaft on shock. Need to lower that about 1.5"
2. I went soft on the initial shock setup so I need to stiffen them up quite a bit.
Went 680cc of oil in front and 670cc in the rear. With a rig this heavy that
was way too soft.
3. If all else fails ill throw in a sway bar and have some touch up painting done.

Just thoughts Ill just see how things play out.

I think it came out pretty damn awesome. Looking back there are a few things I could have done different. No its not perfect, but then again I built a buggy, not the
Taj-Mafucking-Hal.

What did you use as a throttle cable? I used the same pedal and had to booty fab something, but curious what you ended up with.

I used a B&M 8ft shift cable. The cable that is threaded on both sides. There is no fab necessary on the pedal side. The cable fits perfectly into the mount on the throttle and is the correct thread to screw into the rod end type end on the peddle. You may have to fab something to hold the cable on the engine side since the shift cable wont quite fit a throttle cable bracket. This is what I came up with.

You must have a differant bracket on your pedal than I do, mine had some goofy round bracket to hold the cable designed for and outboard. Thought about going with a B&M cable, good to see it worked out for you.

Awesome build by the way.

With that style pedal, closed in on the right side, how do you rest your foot against the trans tunnel to steady the throttle?
I would think on real bouncy stuff it would make it hard to do.
Or is there something about this pedal I don’t see?

You just push it all the way to the floor and hold it there. Haha. Just kidding, I have never used the trans tunnel in any of my jeeps to steady my foot on a nasty climb. This throttle has a large plate on the right side you could brace your foot on so that may work. I figure if a monster truck can freestyle and keep throttle control with this pedal then I should have no problem.

Nasty climbs and monster truck free style only last short periods of time so I wouldn’t think those would be a problem, I guess I was thinking of trail riding, and if you had to hover your foot all day long, and that might lead to a tired leg.
Your Jeep looks fantastic, I love the dash.
I like that pedal too, I was just wondering if it had stronger springs or something to hold up your foot some.

The spring on mine is stupid stiff, and I can rest my foot on the floor still no problem.

Aw, i see. As Spidr said they have a very strong spring that keeps it steady for normal driving. I though we where talking about the bouncy hill climbs.

Hey if you have a problem with someone and you want to be passive aggressive and attack them on a thread while safe behind your computer then at least put it in the correct section. There is a section on pirate for complaints about bad sellers. Dont put it on my build thread. Or you could be a real man and confront the person face to face and work something out. Thank you

Wow......you build a bad ass rig and now you are Internet bad ass too? I get it somebodys butt hurt, take it to shit-shat and sort it out. It's pretty pu$$y to call somebody out in nice quiet little build thread.

I don't know how the hell you finished this thing this summer- its hotter that two hamsters farting in a wool sock! Looks good and sorry about the fresh air biscuit in the new seat. Speaking of which, you should share your plasma skills with everybody .

(edit* I was being an asshole)

It's in bad sellers, sorry to interrupt your build. Guy blatently screws people and then goes around posting in various threads like all is well just didn't really set well with me. I called him out 3 places and this happened to be one of them.

Sorry, carry on.
