Is that really true, they tax you on a vehicle like this? Isurance doesn't have a way to figure a value on a buggy, how could the IRS?

The vehicle was a tax-deductible item, with a value reported to the IRS. That value in the fine print was listed at $100k

I remember reading up on "the price is right" when I was younger and how you had to pay taxes on EvERYTHinG. Still, at 25k+- taxes, a bad ass prize! The way the IRS works, I'm sure you wouldn't be expected to just cut a check for the lump sum?

Congrats to the winner.

Winners all around

As you have all heard, a winner was recently drawn for the Fund Racer while in the Maxxis booth at SEMA.
Although we have not received all the paperwork as of yet from the winner, I can say that a gentleman -Justin S., out of Missouri had the winning ticket.
Justin is currently in the military deployed overseas. We were able to get in touch with him and currently we are working out details with him. As Justin is deployed and not returning to the states for sometime, he has expressed an interest in a cash buyout offer. Once the parties have finalized details, we will be able to comment further. We look forward to sharing details further.
Some of you know Justin and feel free to comment here about his excitement. I know that we are all very thankful for his service.
Again we want to thank all of our sponsors, Lucky Dog Racing, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and everyone that participated to make this project happen.
We will post further detail just as soon as they have been made available.

Lucky Dog Racing rocks! People of all ages look up to you Levi, good job! I hope EyeWin was able to make out well in this endeavor! Is there a way we can still contribute to the effort? (even though my tickets weren't winning ones!)

As for Levi being easier on the car, I'll have to say it's the exact opposite. He runs that car hard and is always a contender.
