The way the taxes work is as followed:
Federal 5% (approx) State 7.6% (approx) - kansas The car is appraised at about $120k, HOWEVER since the car will be raced all year, it will be reappraised at used car pricing following the 2011 race season. Needless to say, used car pricing will be much less than new. The dedication takes place this Friday at the Starbird show and we will present this car to the Leukemia Society at 6:00. We will have pictures to post with some of the patients. |

Thanks EyeWin for the clarification. I was just curious. I thought to myself damn if I win there is no way I can shell out $30k at pick up.

Just an FYI, Don and Ryan Davis from Sniper Fab have been working relentlessly to get this car done, paying attention to every detail. Ironically this Friday the car is being unvailed at a dedication ceremony to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society,,,,,which happens to be exactly a year to the day that Don was diagnosed with cancer. Coincedence?? What a year for Don and his family and to put in so much time and dedication, and donate all the labor hours for the build,,,,Hats off to Sniper Fab. More finalized pics to come. |

2011 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 2011 Little Boy and Little Girl of the Year.
These kids are the very reason why we are doing this project. They are such amazing little Champions. This project means a lot to us, but so much more to them as they fight each day. I couldn't be more honored then to go out and race for such a great cause.

I just want everyone to know that this entire experience has been one of those "Once in a lifetime experiences"! From start to finish, Ryan(my son and builder of this car) along with our buddy Z, our goto guy Spencer(aka Spanky), Martin Taylor(part time employee), and myself have been relentlessly driven for perfection in the build and more importantly for the cause. As mentioned earlier by Dan McDonald, the unveiling of this project last night happened to land on the 1 year anniversary of my diagnosis of cancer. As anniversarys go, I couldn't have written or planned a better celebration!
As I stood in front of the crowd that had gathered to see this unveiling and attempted to put in words my experiences of the past year and what this project meant to me, Ryan, my family and most importantly the cause I could not help getting emotional! It was truely an absolute honor to be apart of this project and Ry & I are truely humbled and very proud of what we created! We would like to thank Dan & Jamie from EyeWin for their dedication to this project and it's cause. They are both very solid individuals with huge hearts! We also want to wish Levi Shirley all the best this year as he pushes our creation to it limits! We could not have asked for a better, more talented young driver to put this rig through it's paces. I have all the confidence, that if we did our job, he will see a podium at some point during the year he will have this car. It's now my goal to see that we hit our goal of raising every penny possible for the cause!! It's my prayer and plead to everyone that reads this, get on board and buy your ticket!! This disease is brutal. Make your personal mark and get behind us and help us fight this disease!! I appreciate everyones support and comments. Now, let's kick some cancer ass!
