Complete (stock) 60 spindle on right. Bare (Cone Industries) spindle snout on left. Come on guys...I get that.
What I'm asking for is a picture of that Cone snout AFTER it's had a flange welded to it. Otherwise, how would it attach to the knuckle? Also, Camo, if you could comment...is the flange cut from an existing Dana spindle, or fabricated from scratch? I know (because you've mentioned it earlier) that you have Sandy working on new spindles machined from a 1 piece forging. Not trying to start any kind of debate here (one piece forging obviously wins hands-down), I'm just curious by nature and would like to see a picture of the 2 piece version. |

I am going to install the new forged 4140 heat threated 1 piece spindles in the next few days and will post pics of the old and new as soon as I get the axle torn down.
Also had trout build a new set of fabricated cromoly heat treated steering arms. I will post pics of them as well. They are a work of art

time to post some updates to the camo 60.
original spindles were made as a 2 piece unit using the OEM flangle and welding on a rear spindle snout. they held up to 2 KOH races as well as plenty of abuse. However I did break one from a triple somersault down the mountain and it broke the spindle and my old steering arms. Sandy cone built me this forged 4140 1 piece spindle and then had it heat treated. |

meanwhile I had Dan Trout build me a set of 4130 heat treated fabricated steering arms to replace the ones I broke. ( they were solid almost 1" thick " )
and no, that old arm is not supposed to be bent like that. it was straight before I crashed they use 5/8 bolts and because it is hollow only weighs about 7 pounds. |
