Custom 20'' Aluminum Rockwell Rims

Wanted to show off our friend Luke Delks new custom made 20'' aluminum Rockwell rims to see if there is any interest in these. If there is interest in these they will be made per order. Now for some rim spec's, They are Chevy 1ton H4 20X10 with the centers cut out and 3/4'' 6061 welded in with 6061 3/8'' gussets welded in. Inner Air Lock rock ring is 3/8'' thick and the rear rock ring is 3/8'' thick. So far Luke has beat the crap out of these and has had no issues. The weight savings from steel to aluminum is around 300 lbs.
Let us know what you think !

I was thinking about something similar the other day.

Take a H2 wheel, mill out the center, and weld in a new with different lug pattern.

Those are sweet but I think a 75lb weight savings per wheel is a little high.

True. I saved right at 45lbs per wheel, going from a steel 20x14 TR beadlock, to an aluminum 17x9 Raceline wheel with allied beadlocks

yeah thats about right. the wheel weights about 46 lb. i know somone that has steel wheels that weight 87 lb. before I had 47'' LTB on 17'' steel wheels. When I went to the 46'' micky on 20'' aluminum's I lost 240 lb.

Assuming he was running a steel 20" double beadlock (either double conventional beadlock, or a 2 piece rim w/ insert) and went to an aluminum 20" wheel and Innerairlock, I could see a 75lb/corner savings.

I didnt know what they were when I bought them used. It was wishfull thinking. Turns out they are usa 6x6.

They are impossible to seal, even more impossible to mount and dismount, they weigh a million pounds but other than that......they will hold a tire

I was running the old military inserts. They are rediculasly heavy. I have recently changed to pvc inserts but I still think I would save 70 lbs per wheel.

I will be waiting for a price!

They are Brent Burton's old wheels right? I find it a bit odd that he would claim they were Stazworks in his build thread if they weren't. Figured he was the one that originally had them made. Do they have markings on them?

But damn, do the aluminum IAL's on here look sweet.

He bought them used to. He told me he thought they were Staz but didnt know.

My wheels are EXACTLY like Matt Thorsens and he got his from usa 6x6.

One question I have about these wheels.....with the centers being 3/4 thick, did you have to swap out the wheel studs?

Thank you for all the interest in these and we have been watching. We do not have a price yet. We are working with Jimmy from E.O.R.P and with are part to get a price figured out. This was just to see if there was interest....and there is.
The prototype was not cheep so we are trying to come up with a cost that is not shocking to everyone Once we have it figured out we will post it up and see what everyone thinks.
