This pretty much took all day, not sure it was worth it but at least I can put a windshield back on it!
Does anyone in San Dog know how to paint???? Dam also just ordered another $180 worth of parts to get this thing runing, dam fuel fittings are pricy.... Last edited by Jeepman14wheel; 12-31-2011 at 03:22 PM. |

After three years of bitching I finally changed my rear springs. I used to have 200 over 275 and now I have 150 over 200.
Question for you coilover guys: I have two 12" sptings up front on 14" Sway a Ways and I want to run a 14" spring on the lower. I changed out the rear so now I have a 14" 275 ~ currently running 200 over 300 in the front, will I notice a difference in 25lbs? Just for reference here are the numbers... Also I want a longer spring due to when fully flexed it hangs up some times even with a tender coil on top. Last edited by Jeepman14wheel; 01-03-2012 at 05:50 PM. |

On a side note, I would honestly guess that 70% of the coilovers I see on crawlers are oversprung.

Yeah I know I have been oversprung for a long time, now I hope it is fixed.... It just took me a long time to commit to a spring change, the scales helped me out!

A small piece of advice, make time to have the car tuned no matter how hard you have to work to make it. It will keep the car together. See you there. We will have a huge crew with us if you need anything on the lakebed.

Also does anyone know where to get some custom battery cables at a decent price? Also trying to figure out the battery mount ~ should I leave it up front or send it to the back? I like the easy way but the idea of weight moving to the rear is better in the long run! Last edited by Jeepman14wheel; 01-06-2012 at 07:02 PM. |
