How To: Properly Cut a Mullet
So my buddy has been growing long hair for quite some time and was really stoked about the overall look of his hair until his girlfriend came home one day and said he started to look like Keith Urban. Now from these pictures, you can fully tell that he does not look like Urban, but to further show his girlfriend his un-urbanness, he decided to cut a mullet. Also I know there are a ton of people that probably already sport mullets on the pirate board
, but for those that don't, you must first read this short how to on creating the perfect mullet and pissing off your girlfriend .First, you must get the right hair length, this is very important because you must sport the "Business Up Front" and "Party In The Back" look. ![]() For this, we cut the side burns in for the added look and experience. Now that you have the right hair length, finding the right tools for the job was the next task. ![]() Tools consist of: Shaver Towel 2 forks tape bailing wire zip ties Auto Trader Texas Holdem' Game and finally and bottle of Cheap Vodka (his girlfriend was sitting and watching us, he had to tune her out.) Next we assembled the cutting devise by attaching the 2 forks to the shaver with tape, zip ties and bailing wire. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Once you have completed this task, make sure you have the proper Cutting length for your cutting devise, you can now move on to the important part. We first parted the hair to execute the business side of this piece of art.

Next we taped his part up so to not get it confused with the party side of the project.
![]() ![]() From there we taped the lower section of his part and taped the towel around his head so that when we let you business hair down, we didn't get it confused with the party hair. ![]() ![]() Once this was done, it was time to prep the head and start cutting. ![]() Make sure you cutt all the way through his hair, thick hair might take longer. ![]() Then try and make it as even as possible... ![]() And go ahead and let the dude check it out in the mirror every once in a while... ![]() Next you want to comb it back and take off the hard edges... ![]() When you are done with this portion it should look like this:

Now please remember, this is crutial!, DO NOT LET YOUR MULLET FRIEND TELL YOU HOW TO CUT IT... This portion might have been a mistake.
![]() He told us to cut a straight line along the tape, I personally told him he should just leave it alone, but this was the result. ![]() Next take the tape and mask off the back of his head. ![]() Try not to laugh too hard. ![]() ![]() Next, and even worse off, do not let your mullet friend try cutting his own hair to even things out... ![]() You'll end up with divots like this... ![]() Now try and fix his divots to make it kinda' look better... Do this by taking the forks off the shaverand running them through to the desired length, then cut. ![]() ![]() Now do the opposite side, but do it before he gets to try it himself.

![]() ![]() This is the Finished result after styling... ![]() ![]() ![]()

That is awesome... When I got sik of long hair a couple year ago I shaved it into a mullet for one night and went out to the clubs and bars in Hawaii in a wife beater and Ford Racing hat, it was a blast... but I also shaved it all off that night when I got home

Yeah he still has his mullet and I am waiting for pictures of us hitting the town. It was great! He totally played the roll everywhere we went. And when we went to dinner at Chili's that night and after we walked in and got asked how we were doing he yelled "Great where's your shitter?!"
and it was off from there.
