I have avoided this thread all day because I didn't know what the hell it was. Low and behold I come home to a box on my porch, what's inside? Elf on the shelf, I came right to this thread. I will be watching this.

I'm not good with links but there is a cartoon on TV about a family...it's a little corny but the animation is good and the kids (4 & 5) love it.

Mine is Almost 2 and she most definitely "gets" Elf on a Shelf. She comes out every morning looking for "Charlie" but I am not pushing the envelope too much on the being good since he is going to tell Santa, but luckily for me she rarely acts out of line. I am just hoping this trend stays...

We had something similar as kids, but instead of "Elf on a shelf" if was "If you're bad, I'm gonna beat your ass". It was very effective.

Night before he took a John Deere frontend loader to my box of Applejacks.

Night before that he dumped out a ton of sugar on the counter and proceeded to make "Snow Angels".

I think the lil dude is awesome

while this thread defeinately has some funny in it, i dont get it at all.

our kids have never needed an "elf to make sure thier behavior is good. they know damn good and well that if they are little shits, they dont get gifts.
