We picked one up this year for our kids because i read this thread last year. It has been a bunch of fun so far, 1st thing the kids do in the morning is look for him.

My 11yo refuses to believe there isn't a Santa Claus...she bought one of these for herself.

We're not going to purposefully burst her balloon, but we don't do anything to shield her from the truth, either.

Thanks bulfrog3 for the elf dooky'ing in the john. I used your chocolate chip idea. Girls thought that was the funniest thing they'd ever seen.

We also had our elf taking a bath in a pot on the stove (no water).

Our daughters figured the Elf could hand-deliver a note to Santa for them, so I used this letter generator:

my sons grade 1 class has one and the teacher said it has done wonders for some kids. she wishes she could use it all year! The kids have fun finding it each morning and if they did something good the day before he may have left a surprise on there desk.

As for our house we have a in ceiling hvac with ducts in every room. My son thinks they are what Santa uses to spy on him...... not sure where he got that idea! :devil

My son was the same way at 3 when we first introduced the elf. But now he really believes, and could swear he saw him move yesterday
