Pffft, I just leave them out. You had to find a spout, make a hole in the lid, then keep it in the fridge because you ruined the seal. You're working too hard, Nancy. Next thing you know, you'll be drinking it out of one of these:

Heading down to NJ for turkey day. I think it's about time I make another batch. Gonna pick up a bottle or two of 190 Everclear.

Have two jars from the last batch left, been sitting for probably 3months now. Had some at 1mo and they were way smoother, I expect these to be

Why make an entire batch if I think it tastes like crap? I can pick one of these up and see if its worth making my own.

Alcohol has a way lower freezing point than water. The water freezes and you pour off the alc at a higher percentage. Doesn't work great for higher percentages iirc. Not in your freezer at least. Never done it. Traditional methods work better, and are easier.

I just brewed the OP's mix with the exception of using more Everclear. In FL we have 151 so I used three 750ml bottles with about 200 ml (per side of the Ball jar) of Everclear. Filled the jar to roughly 28 oz each..

It has sat for about an hour and a half after I mixed it. I can really taste the Everclear. Next time I will back it off some.

We used to go every year. Back when it was a farm it was much nicer. Now it's like going to an overly expensive county fair. It's good they can make some money but sad that they are more commercial than family farm.

just got done with my first attempt. Followed the OP's and added a couple things. I imported some 190 in from Texas cause California sucks out loud... It turned out I did try paint strainers instead of chese cloth, should have tried both, they seemed to work good.

I got the apple juice and the apple cider at my chief's farm, wow good stuff!
